- A regional affiliate of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation The Howard County Community Foundation is comprised of three funds:
The family of funds is managed through the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, which provides back office services and maintains the investments made with the funds. Projects funded by the family of funds are reviewed and approved by Advisory Committees consisting of individuals familiar with the Howard County area. The Howard Electric Cooperative Community Foundation was established to help individuals and organizations with health needs, scholarship needs and community and economic development needs in the extremely rural area of the Howard Electric Cooperative service territory. The awards are made based on the decision of the Advisory Committee. The Fayette R-III Scholarship Fund awards college scholarships to area students. The Keller Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Fund provides college scholarships to area students pursuing nursing studies. |
